The Case For Pandora - Building a Space Ark with current technology

Building a space ark within the next 10 - 20 years is entirely possible using current technology. The Case For Pandora looks at available technology, materials, and manufacturing methods to accomplish this task. We review the steps necessary, including moon and space based manufacturing, the basics of construction of a spacecraft large enough to sustain a population of 14,000, and the propulsion systems necessary to propel it across the galaxy and universe. We also explore the limitations of humans and the methods to not only keep them alive, but help them thrive in the inhospitiable environment of space. If we ever hope to escape the confines of this rock called Earth, we must dream big, spend big, and, indeed, perform big. When Pandora's box was opened and all the evil escaped, the only thing left in the box was hope. Let us open Pandora's box one last time and let hope escape.
